Location

The Habulous studio is situated on the edge of Dartmoor National Park near Yelverton, Devon. PL20 7PY. We are a small working studio producing a range of functional and decorative stoneware pieces. Habulous Ceramics’ approach revolves around the unique charm of small batch production, ensuring that each item is meticulously handmade. Job Description

A potter to assist with the production of Habulous’ range of tableware and decorative wheel thrown ceramics. Making to our specifications to create a consistent range of products. You will also play a part in ensuring our studio is clean and safe for everyone working here.

Other duties may include:

Reclaiming and preparing clay - we have a Peter Pugger pug mill which makes this an easy job

Glazing and glaze mixing

Kiln loading and unloading

Hours

8 to 16 hours per week. We can be flexible on the days and hours per day. Our standard studio hours are 9 -5.30 Monday to Friday.

Skills

Confident and efficient on the wheel. Ideally experience as a production potter, however this is not essential.

An eye for detail.

Team player.

Hourly rate

£12.50 to £15.00
