Each bird is hand-thrown from flecked stoneware clay in our Dartmoor studio and paired with a hand-felted wool cushion, hand-dyed with natural dyes to match the bird it sits in.

Handmade in the UK

Every bird is shaped and glazed by hand in our Dartmoor studio, using a flecked stoneware clay that gives each piece its own natural speckle and texture. The pin cushion is made from 100% natural wool, hand-felted and hand-dyed in our studio using natural dyes. As every part of the process is done by hand, small variations in shape, size and colour are part of what makes your bird truly one of a kind.

Thoughtfully Designed

This little bird is designed to work hard as well as look good. The hand-felted cushion is made for pins to be pushed straight in, keeping them safely gathered and within easy reach whenever you're sewing, quilting, embroidering or crafting. This bird also makes a genuinely charming piece of pottery to leave out on display, whether that's on a windowsill, a shelf, or your desk. Every pin cushion is hand-felted from 100% wool and dyed by hand in our Dartmoor studio using natural dyes. As each piece is dyed in small batches, you may notice gentle variations in colour, and the tones may soften and shift slightly over time.

As each piece is truly handmade, shapes may vary slightly - all measurements are approximate.

Pins are available as an optional add on - Prym Pearl Headed Pins, Pack of 40 (40mm). If pins are purchased, they arrive on a disc, ready for you to push into the pin cushion.

Is the pin cushion removable? The pin cushion part of the bird's design, so it isn't intended to be removed.
