Wheel-thrown in our Dartmoor studio using flecked stoneware clay, each mug is shaped, glazed and painted by hand, giving every piece its own subtle character and the quiet marks of a truly handmade process.

Handmade in the UK

Each stoneware mug is wheel-thrown by hand in our Dartmoor studio using traditional pottery techniques. Made in small batches from flecked stoneware clay, every mug is glazed and painted by hand, meaning no two pieces are ever exactly alike. It's a celebration of slow craft, thoughtful design and the beauty of everyday ceramics.

Thoughtfully Designed

Made from durable stoneware clay, this mug is designed to be enjoyed every day. The satin white glaze has a soft off-white finish, while the hand-painted blue-grey stripes add gentle movement and character. The comfortable handle and generous 350ml capacity make it just as suited to your first coffee of the day as an afternoon cup of tea.

  • Intentionally handmade with a flecked stoneware clay.
  • Stripes are hand-painted, making every piece one-of-a-kind.
  • In some areas, often towards the base, the stripe may show in a much stronger colour.
  • As each piece is truly handmade and wheel-thrown, shapes may vary slightly - all measurements are approximate.

To keep your handmade stoneware looking its best, we recommend washing it gently with warm, soapy water and avoiding sudden changes in temperature. 

FAQs

Is every mug the same?
No, each mug is wheel-thrown, glazed and hand-painted individually, so each one has its own subtle variations in shape, stripe placement and finish.

Why are some of the stripes darker than others?
The stripe colour may appear stronger towards the base as a natural result of the hand glazing process. This is an intentional part of the design.

Is this mug suitable for everyday use?
Absolutely, it's been designed with daily use in mind, it's generously sized for coffee, tea and other hot drinks, with a comfortable weight and naturally shaped handle.
